DIVINE PRESENCE
Welcome one and all! The purpose of this website is to celebrate heaven and earth. It will not only remind you of the beauty of our earthly temporal life, but will also attempt to show you the bigger picture of eternity and how the two are intertwined. Under the heading of SACRED NATURE you can learn more about the amazing world around us and hopefully discover facts you never knew. Some things you should already know, but they are so simple that you overlooked their meaning through familiarity. (familiarity breeds contempt) Under DISCOVERIES AND ARTIFACTS you Indiana Jones fans (like myself) can learn about archaeological, astronomical, historical and other ways that people are coming into contact with divinity. Some of the recent recent discoveries might amaze you! I will try to keep it as simple as possible so that people of all ages and educations can understand, but where possible will provide further references where you can get the complete, more sophisticated explanations. Under DIVINE INTERVENTIONS, you can hear stories about people who have experienced things that are considered impossible by the world at large - pretty straightforward. Then, my favorite will undoubtedly be SHARED BEAUTY. This page will be used for letters, news articles, poems, photos, videos, art, music, etc., from anyone who wishes to contribute. You may think it is simple and ordinary, but if it is beautiful, then it's probably divine. Just go to the contact page and tell me what you want to share (it could be something miraculous, scientifically amazing, or just a photo that you took in your garden or a poem you wrote) and I will let you know if it is appropriate or not for this site and whether space limitations will allow for it. Come back here often to see updates and new material, think of this site as your happy place. Enjoy!
Out in the Fields with God
The little cares that fretted me
I lost them yesterday
Among the
fields, above the sea,
Among the winds at play,
Among the lowing of the
herds,
The rustling of the trees,
Among the singing of the birds,
The
humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might happen,
I cast
them all away,
Among the clover-scented grass,
Among the new-mown
hay,
Among the husking of the corn,
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill
thoughts die and good are born--
Out in the fields with God.
