WHO DESIGNED THE GREAT PYRAMID AT GIZA?
"you have wrought signs and wonders in the land of Egypt and to this day,..." Jeremiah 32;20
Herodotus wrote that during the reigns of Cheops and his brother Cephren, (106 years total) "the Egyptians suffered all kinds of calamities; and for this length of time the temples were closed and never opened." This is also when the Great pyramid was built. Manetho wrote that ...there came up from the East, in a strange manner, men of an ignoble race, who had the confidence to invade our country, and easily subdued it by their power, without a battle." They are referred to as "The shepherd kings," and were believed to have come from Arabia or Palestine. They were somehow able to compel King Cheops to close down all the temples and to concentrate on the building of the great pyramid. When it was completed, the shepherd kings left and the people of Egypt returned to their pagan worship. Although there are over 80 pyramids in Egypt, all built between the 27th and 18th centuries B.C., The great Pyramid at Giza is unique in many ways. none of the other pyramids have the same perfect mathematical, geographical, astronomical, geometric qualities. They are obviously copied from the Giza pyramid because the further they are from the great pyramid, the more flawed they became. Archaeologic evidence dates the beginning of construction at 2623 B.C. Unlike later pyramids which were used as tombs, the first one was not.The remains of Cheops were never found inside and historical writings as well as later archaeological discoveries confirm that he was buried in a southern tomb. Although it is not certain who exactly was in charge of the building project, the oldest tradition is that it was Almodad, the eldest son of Joktan (Genesis 10:26) known to the Chaldeans as the Inventor of Geometry and the Measurer of the Earth. Job, the youngest brother of Almodad, has also been connected with the building of the pyramid. It is by far the largest building in the world, containing 90,000,000 cubic feet of stone, spread out over 13 acres. Among it's many fascinating properties are the following; It's shadows accurately convey the hours of the day as well as the seasons of the year; It is situated in the precise center of all the land mass of the earth; It points to the true north; The remaining polished limestone casing stones (the original cover of the pyramid, which has been plundered) is joined together with a cement less than the thickness of tinfoil, which even modern man cannot duplicate; The capacity of the coffer in the King's chamber is exactly that of the Ark of the Covenant; The entire structure is based on pi (3.14159), the ratio in which the universe is designed; It is based on the value of y (365.242), the number of days in a solar year; the height of the pyramid is 5449 inches, The distance of the passage from the entrance to the end of the chambers is 5449 inches and the numerical value of Isaiah 19:19-20 in it's original Hebrew is also 5449 (in Hebrew, all letters also have a numerical value)
Isaiah 19:19-20
"On that day there shall be an altar to the Lord in the land of Egypt,and a sacred pillar to the Lord near the boundary. It shall be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt, when they cry out to the Lord against their oppressors, and he sends them a saviour to defend and deliver them."
Giza in fact means boundary, because it is located at the boundary of upper and lower Egypt, and yet it is in "the midst" of Egypt.
In the King's Chamber, the temperature is maintained at 68 degrees F. by way of two air channels. This is the optimal temperature for human life.
Other amazing features built into the design are;
the 3 different lengths of earthly years
the weight of the earth
the density of the earth
the mean ocean level of earth
the golden ratio is used in many ways
and there are many other amazing features one could look into more by studying Pyramidology, but you should try not to stray into the occult or wacky, as there are tonnes of strange material out there on pyramid power, etc,. It is wise to stick with the first Pyramidologists, such as John Greaves, James Rutherford, Professor C. Piazzi Smyth, Robert Menzies, Col. Howard Vyse, etc,.
Some of the most fascinating features come from the measurements of the passage system, including the Christ Angle. The upward slope of the passage system is at an angle of 26 18'9.7" degrees. When this angle is followed to the true north, it passes precisely over the Red sea at it's narrowest, where the Jews are believed to have crossed over from Egypt, and also directly over Bethlehem, hence it's name.
Interestingly, despite all the perfection found in the great pyramid, the base is not a perfect square, the four sides are actually slightly concave, and although it's not noticable to the naked eye, it was very noticable when it came time to finish the structure. The capstone or cornerstone didn't fit, and so the pyramid was left unfinished. It is not clear why the capstone wasn't chiseled down to fit, but whatever the reason, it is very prophetic in light of certain biblical passages;
"The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes"
Matthew 21:42
"...with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone. Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord."
Ephesians 2:20-21
"Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and whoever believes in it shall not be put to shame."
1Peter 2:6
"He shall bring forward the Top-Stone amid shouts of ' grace, grace unto it.' "
Zechariah 4:7

Archaeology and the Bible
Up until the middle of the 1800's, most of the biblical accounts, particularly in the old testament, contained references to people, places and events not found in any other historical texts. This led many "enlightened" people to question it's reliability as a true historical document. Nowadays however, the bible is considered practically an instruction manual and map for anyone doing archaeological digs in the middle east, thanks to all the fascinating discoveries over the last century and a half. Here are some of the important discoveries;
-The discovery of the city of Ur, (where Abraham once lived) 120 miles north of Basra (Iraq) at a place called Tell Al Muqayyar, in 1854 by an expedition led by J.E. Taylor. In 1929, after most of the ancient city had been dug up by Sir Charles Woolley and myriads of artifacts retrieved, they thought they had reached the bottom. They then discovered a layer of clay mud nearly ten feet thick. They could not understand how this sediment could possibly have been deposited there, until they found bowls, jars and other ancient pottery from the stone age. They had discovered an even older settlement which had existed there before a "Great Flood"! They were able to date this flood at approximately 4000 B.C.
-In 1933, the kingdom of Mari was discovered in Abu Kemal. (between Damascus and Mosul) In the center was Haran. (the birthplace of Abraham and the Hebrew people) From the thousands of clay tablets found, Biblical names such as Nahor, Peleg, Terah and other forefathers of Abraham's have emerged.

-In 1848, the Dead Sea area (the Vale of Siddim, where Sodom and Gomorrah were said to be located) was first studied by geologists. They found that this area is deeper below sea level than any other area on earth which isn't under water. In 1951, American scholar Jack Finegan examined the literary, archaeological, and geological data, and calculated that the southern section of the Dead Sea is where the two cities were once situated. In approximately 1900 B.C., (which fits perfectly within the biblical timeline) this area was destroyed by a violent earthquake which would have produced the release of natural gases, explosions, and lightning. Although the Dead Sea is 400 meters deep, the area believed to be where Sodom and Gomorrah once stood is in very shallow water, as it was only filled in by the original Dead Sea after it subsided and sank. To this day, one can still see the remnants of a huge forest underneath the water with the naked eye, the trunks and roots have been preserved by the high salt content of the water, which prevents any form of life from making it's home here. Unfortunately, due to the inaccessability of the area for excavations, archaeologists will probably never retrieve any artifacts from these ancient cities.
-In 1893, Percy A. Newberry found a painting near Thebes (Egypt) that was almost 4000 years old in a rock tomb. It clearly shows Egyptian overseers forcing lighter-skinned workers to build bricks.
-In 1907, just north of modern day Jericho, A German-Austrian expedition found a ringed fortification in a huge mound called Tell es-Sultan. Over the next few years, archaeologists continued to uncover more and more of the "walls of Jericho" and have dated the fall to between 1200 and 1250 B.C., which fits perfectly with the story of Joshua. The way the walls had been collapsed shows evidence of an earthquake.
EXCAVATIONS AT JERICHO
-In 1994, Archaeologists working at the site of the ancient city of Dan in northern Israel discovered steles (inscribed stones) written in Aramaic. One of these steles commemorates military victories by a King of Damascus over Israeli armies and the "House of David". It is dated between the 8th and 9th centuries B.C., and is the first reference discovered to date of the House of David outside the Bible. It is currently housed in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and is known as the Tel Dan stele.
-In 1955, D.J. Wiseman deciphered 2500 year old Babylonian cuneiform tablets which had been housed in the British museum. He was amazed to find the first non-biblical account of the conquest of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar. Although obviously written with a different point of view, the events and details matched up perfectly with the accounts in Kings and Chronicles. Excavations of old Judean towns since the early 1900's show that not only was their destruction complete, but that there was indeed a complete deportation of Israelites to Babylon, with no signs of Israeli habitation in the area during that era, fulfilling the prophecy in Jeremiah 34:22, "...I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant."
-In 1905, papyrus documents were found near the Aswan dam which validates Ezra 7:23-26 from the old testament. They are dated to 419 B.C., and contain a message from King Darius II of Persia. This instructed the Jews of the area as to how the passover was to be celebrated. Coins from this time with the inscription "YEHUD", shows that the Persians even allowed the Jews to mint their own coins.
NEW TESTAMENT
-In 1935, in Egypt, the papyrus Bodmer II was found, written in Greek. It has been dated to between 98-117 A.D. and contains part of the Gospel of John. It is the part where Caesar Augustus decrees a census, and Joseph and Mary have to travel from Galilee to Judaea. St.Luke refers to this census being carried out when Quirinius was Governor of Syria. It always seemed like this was historically incorrect, since the only record of his reign occurs between 6 and 7 A.D., when Jesus would already be about ten years old. Since then however, a Roman inscription was discovered in Antioch which shows that Quirinius established his headquarters in Syria between 7 and 10 B.C., making Luke's statement completely possible.
-in the 1920's, the archaeologist father L.H. Vincent used the Gospel of John to find Pilate's court. The Gospel calls the place where Jesus was tried "The Pavement" but says it is called "Gabbatha" in Hebrew, which means raised ground. It would have been easier to find if Jerusalem hadn't been destroyed in 70A.D., and Titus not built upon the ruins. Nonetheless, on the hill where the courtyard of the Tower of Antonia once stood, he was able to find "The Pavement", a large flat area measuring 3000 square yards.

MONTAGNA SPACCATA
Montagna Spaccata means split mountain. It is located in Gaeta, Italy. It is a coastal town 120k from Rome. Thousands of people visit each year to see this legend for themselves. It is said that it was formed by an earthquake which occurred at the precise moment in which Christ died on the cross. A Turkish pirate who said he didn't believe the story said if the story is true, let this mountain turn into water. He had his hand on the rock at the time and it suddenly liquified and imprinted a perfect cast of his hand into the rock. The deep and smooth imprint is still there to this day. Geologists who have examined the mountain and it's amazing fissure say that it could not have been the result of a normal earthquake. The diagonal split is too perfect and it occurred in the strongest and thickest part of the mountain. It should have opened at the weakest points.
