Inter-faith miracle?
Just after the six-day war and before the Yom Kippur war in 1968, a group of Muslims including Farouk Mohammed Atwa saw a lady in white on top of a Coptic Church in Zeitun, Egypt. He pointed towards her with his bandaged gangrenous finger which was to be amputated the next day and shouted at her not to jump. But he and the others who gathered soon realized she was floating, glowing, and had lights resembling doves around her. After a few moments she was gone. The next day, when Atwa went for his operation, they were all amazed that his finger was completely healed. The apparition returned a week later and continued to appear in the same place up to 3 times a week until 1973. Over the years, the apparitions were witnessed by millions of Moslems and Christians alike, including President Abdul Nasser. Moslems, Orthodox, and Catholics praying together in throngs ouside the Church became commonplace. Although this was all given little media attention outside Egypt, it was very well documented by Egyptian media, and it is now easy to find information on these events on the internet.
